Welcome to Miss Joss's class.

During the Spring term 2018 we are studying...

This term we are focusing our literacy around our text, ‘Daddy On The Moon’. We will be signifying the whole story whilst looking at how an author forms a five part narrative.

We will be inventing our own ‘Space’ characters and writing them into our very own story. We will be building super space rockets and writing instructions to help others create them too!

We are going to be using our space knowledge to inspire our maths this term.

We will be looking at how long it takes to get to the moon, how much it would cost and what we would need to buy to take with us. We will be using shapes to build spaceships and planets!

Our science this term is materials. We are grouping them based on their properties, showing how objects differ to the material they are made from and carrying out comparative tests.

We are making an ice planet and measuring how long it takes to melt! We are choosing the best material for a spacesuit/rocket and evaluating properties.

Tell The World - To Hull and Beyond!

To Hull and Beyond! This term we are looking at the future of our great city and where it can take us. We will be revisiting the best moments from our City of Culture year and seeing what we can do to continue this. We will be looking into outer space and exploring the world around us.
